Personal data: general principles
Compliance with the law
COFIM is committed to protecting your personal data and makes every effort to comply with the most stringent provisions applicable in the European Union and in Belgium (law of 8 December 1992). This policy aims to protect individuals against any misuse of their personal data and is also based on the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, which came into force on 24 May 2016 in order to identify minimum requirements for the collection of personal data online.
COFIM is the controller of personal data under European Directive EC 95/46. The Commission for the Protection of Privacy is the supervisory body in Belgium and is located at rue haute 139 - 1000 Brussels.
Prohibition on the sale of data
COFIM undertakes not to sell the personal information collected under any circumstances.
Use of personal data
We process your personal data to manage your request or to communicate commercial offers.
Prior consent - Direct marketing
We may also keep you informed of offers relating to our products by post, e-mail or telephone. In these and all other cases of direct marketing, we ensure that we obtain your prior consent as required by law.
Right to correct or delete your personal data
You may contact us at any time if you have any questions about the protection of your personal data. You may also ask us at any time to examine the personal data you have sent us and ask us to correct or delete it within a reasonable period of time, free of charge.

Securing your personal data
Since there are always risks associated with the communication of personal data, whether this is done in person, by telephone or via the Internet, and since no technological security system is safe from hacking, COFIM undertakes to take all appropriate action to prevent and minimise the risks of unauthorised access, the risks of inappropriate use or the risks of any error relating to personal data.
Physical and logical protection of personal data
COFIM takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction or loss, improper use, unauthorised access or disclosure, alteration or destruction. COFIM requires its own service providers and other third parties who contribute to providing COFIM's services to undertake to protect the personal data concerned in the same way.
Minors who transmit personal data to COFIM are deemed to have done so with the consent of a parent or legal representative in the same way as minors who make a purchase or perform any legal act whatsoever on COFIM's sites are deemed to have done so with that same consent, unless specifically prohibited by the applicable law.
